Suneeva Saldanha, lived in South India for the majority of their life and moved to Seattle, USA in 2019.
The repetitiveness of geometric yet organic imagery exploring personal and social understanding of existence, morality and death. The dreamy scapes of surrealism and the techniques of traditional miniature art finds a home in their creative process.
The choice of medium is always driven by the subject, allowing the message and emotion of the work to dictate its form. Whether through painting or craft, this flexibility ensures a responsive and nuanced exploration of the subject matter. The cross culture experiences and diverse background play a significant role in shaping the thematic elements and stylistic choices in their work.
Saldanha’s composition invites the viewers to explore the depth of the human experience and social norms through a surrealistic lens.
